Hanoi police investigate online gambling case involving 80 million VND

Police in Hoa Phu Commune, Hanoi, are investigating a case of online gambling involving an individual identified as N. V. V. The suspect was apprehended on October 6 while participating in online gaming services in Hong Phong village.

Initial investigations reveal that the individual used the Oxbet application to conduct 571 betting transactions totaling over 80.9 million VND. The betting activities included various games such as 'bau cua', 'slot games', 'fish shooting', and 'xoc dia'. Out of the transactions, the suspect recorded 248 wins and 319 losses, with total winnings amounting to approximately 3.19 million VND.

The suspect is currently being held by the Hoa Phu Commune Police for further investigation regarding gambling violations under the Penal Code.
