Hanoi police investigate real estate fraud involving diplomatic housing scams

Hanoi police are investigating Nguyễn Ánh Tuyết, born in 1972, for fraudulent appropriation of property. Between 2023 and 2025, Tuyết allegedly used false information regarding personal connections to deceive individuals into believing she could secure discounted real estate through “diplomatic quotas.”

According to investigators, the suspect promoted the ability to invest capital or purchase cheap apartments and villas at various projects across Hanoi. By building trust through these false claims, she allegedly induced multiple individuals to transfer money, which she then misappropriated.

The Hanoi Police Investigation Agency has requested that victims or anyone with relevant information contact investigators to provide evidence and documentation to assist with the ongoing criminal case.
