Hanoi police investigate restaurant assault in Phu Dien

Police in the Phu Dien Ward of Hanoi are investigating an assault that occurred at an eatery in the Thanh Pho Giao Luu urban area on Pham Van Dong Street. The incident took place around 10:10 PM on August 25.

According to initial reports and security footage, a group of approximately three young men began harassing a woman dining with her boyfriend. When their provocations were not met with a response, the group turned their aggression toward the man. Despite attempts by the restaurant manager to intervene and the victim's refusal to react, the group attacked the man with physical blows, causing chaos in the establishment.

Several bystanders and diners who attempted to stop the violence were also reportedly insulted, threatened, and assaulted by the group. Local authorities have reviewed security camera footage and are currently working to identify and locate those involved to face legal consequences.
