Hanoi Police investigate Zesttrip for vacation package fraud

Hanoi Police have launched a criminal investigation into Zesttrip Travel Service and Trading Co., Ltd. for the fraudulent misappropriation of assets. The investigation focuses on a scheme involving the transfer of travel cards and vacation packages.

Authorities determined that between March 2025 and April 2026, Dang Thi Ha Ly, the company's Deputy Director and actual operator, purchased customer information from other travel companies. Employees then contacted these individuals, falsely claiming there were buyers interested in purchasing their vacation packages at higher prices than their original cost.

After customers signed contracts and paid deposits or service fees, Zesttrip failed to facilitate any actual transactions and instead misappropriated the funds. The Hanoi Police are requesting that any individuals who paid money to Zesttrip employees for these services contact the Economic Police Department to provide information and documentation to assist the investigation.
