Hanoi Police launch Gen Z drug prevention program

The Hanoi Police, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, organized the second season of the ‘Gen Z Lesson’ program. Titled ‘The Bus - A Journey of Choices,’ the initiative aims to raise awareness, provide legal knowledge, and equip students with skills to prevent drug use.

The program utilized both in-person and online connections across several locations, including the Hanoi Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 and various high schools such as Da Phuc, Phan Dinh Phung, and Luong The Vinh. A key feature involved students learning from real-life stories of individuals at the rehabilitation center to understand the consequences of drug addiction on individuals and families.

Colonel Nguyen Duc Long, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police, addressed students, stating that true courage in youth is not found in trying dangerous things, but in the bravery to say ‘no’ to drugs to protect one’s future. The program also facilitated dialogues between students, parents, and teachers regarding adolescent psychological pressures and the importance of family and school support.
