Hanoi police penalize ticket scalpers for ASEAN Cup final

Police in Hanoi's Tu Liem Ward have penalized two individuals for soliciting and selling tickets for the 2026 ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand. The incident occurred near My Dinh National Stadium.

The two individuals, identified as H. Q. V. and L. T. H., admitted to purchasing tickets from people who did not intend to use them and subsequently reselling them to profit from the price difference. Authorities issued administrative sanctions for “disturbing public order” in accordance with Decree 282/2025/NĐ-CP.

To maintain security and order for the match scheduled for August 26, police have deployed multiple patrol teams around the stadium. Officials have advised fans to avoid purchasing tickets from unauthorized street vendors to prevent being scammed with invalid or overpriced tickets.
