Hanoi police rescue two people trapped in Chem culvert
Hanoi firefighting and rescue police successfully rescued two individuals trapped inside the Chem culvert on Lien Mac Street in Dong Ngac Ward. The emergency response was initiated around 16:09 on September 18 following reports of people stuck in the drainage system.
Authorities deployed one rescue vehicle and one fire truck to the scene. Despite difficult conditions, officers managed to extract both individuals by approximately 17:00. Both victims were reported to be in stable health after being brought to safety.
This incident follows a tragic event in the same ward two days earlier, where a male student reportedly died after being swept into a culvert during a period of flooding.
