Hanoi and Khanh Hoa police launch vehicle data cleanup campaign

Police authorities in Hanoi and Khanh Hoa are conducting large-scale operations to review, verify, and update vehicle registration data. In Hanoi, officials are reviewing over 1 million vehicles as part of a 100-day peak period initiated by the Ministry of Public Security. The effort aims to build a clean and accurate database to improve state management, administrative reform, and digital transformation.

Authorities have identified several issues during the review, including vehicles that have been sold without proper registration or license plate revocation procedures, and vehicles with expired inspections. Officials urge owners of expired vehicles to complete inspections immediately and advise those who have sold vehicles or have not completed ownership transfers to visit the nearest registration office.

In Khanh Hoa, a campaign titled “Khanh Hoa Police Accompany People to Clean Vehicle Registration Data” is running from October 20 to November 20. This initiative focuses on assisting citizens with ownership transfers, license plate revocations for sold or expired vehicles, and converting white license plates to yellow plates for commercial transport. To encourage participation, the province is offering practical gifts such as helmets and raincoats, funded through socialized contributions from local businesses.
