Hanoi Police warn of BDOGE cryptocurrency investment scam

Hanoi Police have issued a warning regarding a fraudulent investment scheme involving a worthless cryptocurrency known as BDOGE. Authorities determined that scammers purchased the digital asset, which is not listed on any legitimate exchange, and falsely advertised it as a high-profit project.

To deceive investors, the perpetrators promised that BDOGE would soon be listed on international exchanges. They successfully sold the asset to victims at prices up to 10,000 times its original cost.

The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Division (PA05) and the Criminal Police Division (PC02) are currently investigating the case. Police are urging anyone who invested in the BDOGE project to contact them immediately to assist with the investigation. Officials also advised the public to remain vigilant against investment solicitations from strangers on social media platforms such as Telegram, TikTok, Zalo, and Facebook.
