Hanoi prepares community consultation for Red River Landscape Boulevard

Authorities in Hanoi are preparing to conduct community consultations regarding the location and routing of the Red River Landscape Boulevard project. This process will occur alongside efforts to adjust the overall 1/5,000 scale urban subdivision planning for the Red River area.

The project, which saw its first component (the Phu Thuong ward public park) commence construction on December 19, 2025, is currently seeking a six-month extension to complete procedures under special mechanisms permitted by the National Assembly. For the section spanning Km31+500 to Km37+500 through Linh Nam ward and Thanh Tri commune, the city has reached a preliminary agreement to consider approving the route boundaries early to facilitate land clearance for public and agricultural land.

The investor consortium is currently finalizing the feasibility study for the Huu Hong route, with plans to submit it for appraisal by the Department of Construction in August 2026. Additionally, the Hanoi People's Council is expected to consider a resolution to extend the implementation of several investment projects, including this boulevard, during an upcoming session.
