Hanoi proposes 14,229 billion VND elderly healthcare complex

The Hanoi People's Committee has submitted a proposal to the Hanoi People's Council to approve the investment policy for a medical and elderly healthcare complex. The project, involving Hanoi Medical University Hospital, will be implemented through a public-private partnership (PPP) using a Build-Transfer (BT) contract model.

Spanning approximately 9.26 hectares in the Hoang Mai ward, the project has a preliminary total investment of 14,229 billion VND. Once completed, the complex aims to serve as a hub for medical care, training, scientific research, technology transfer, long-term care, and rehabilitation, specifically targeting the elderly population.

The high-quality medical complex will include a general hospital and specialized centers with a 1,600-bed capacity. It is designed to meet international standards and provide advanced technical services. The proposed investor consortium includes Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation, NGS Equipment and Communication JSC, and VENEREUS JSC. To facilitate the BT contract, an estimated 98.13 hectares of land in Vinh Thanh commune is earmarked for payment.
