Hanoi ranked among top 15 global nightlife cities

Hanoi has been ranked 15th in the world for its nightlife in a 2026 list published by Time Out. The Vietnamese capital outperformed several major global destinations, including Seoul, Singapore, and Bengaluru.

Bangkok, Thailand, took the top spot in the rankings, followed by Berlin, New York, Melbourne, and São Paulo. The assessment was based on a survey of over 24,000 local residents worldwide, evaluating factors such as nightclubs, cocktail bars, entertainment costs, and overall activity quality.

In addition to resident feedback, a panel of city editors, cultural experts, and nightlife specialists selected the final list. Criteria included community connectivity, safety, vibrancy, friendliness, and diversity. Hanoi was the sole representative for Vietnam in the top 20 list.
