Hanoi Rocks to release ‘The Complete Collection 1981-1984’ box set

Hanoi Rocks is releasing a new six-disc box set titled ‘The Complete Collection 1981-1984’ on November 13 via BMG. Available in both CD and vinyl formats, the collection compiles the Finnish band’s first five studio albums: ‘Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks’ (1981), ‘Oriental Beat’ (1982), ‘Self Destruction Blues’ (1982), ‘Back to Mystery City’ (1983), and ‘Two Steps From the Move’ (1984). The set also includes the 2022 ‘The Re(al)mix’ edition of ‘Oriental Beat’.

A sixth bonus album, ‘Motorvatin’!!!’, features rare BBC session recordings, unreleased demos, and other rarities. Physical editions will include a 36-page photobook containing rare and previously unseen images, along with studio album art cards.

Michael Monroe noted that the collection provides a comprehensive look at the original band’s recorded history, making it a significant resource for both longtime fans and those discovering the band’s influential blend of punk and glam rock for the first time.
