Hanoi schools report varying quality in student boarding meals

At Cau Giay B Primary School (Phase 2), students reported positive experiences with menus including pork, sausages, and vegetables. School leadership emphasized strict food safety protocols, including QR code verification for ingredients, three-step inspection logs, and 24-hour food sampling to ensure nutritional standards and safety.

In contrast, parents at Trung Gia B Primary School expressed significant dissatisfaction with meal quality. Despite a total cost of 40,000 VND per meal—comprising 28,000 VND in city support and 12,000 VND from parents—the portions provided were described as meager, consisting of small amounts of bean sprouts, minced meat, and a single meat skewer. Some parents noted delays in meal service and expressed concerns that the nutritional value did not justify the cost, threatening to withdraw their children from the boarding program if improvements are not made.
