Hanoi seeks public feedback on 22 metro stations across 5 lines
The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) is conducting community consultations regarding the detailed 1/500 scale planning for 22 priority stations. These stations are part of five urban railway lines: numbers 1, 2, 8, 10, and 14.
The planning documents outline site clearance boundaries, station entrance locations, ventilation tower positions, and urban development orientations based on the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model. Detailed planning drawings are being publicly displayed at the headquarters of 22 relevant communes and wards for a minimum of 20 days. Residents can provide feedback via survey forms or by submitting direct contributions to their local People's Committees.
The five lines cover a total planned length of approximately 253.5 km: - Line 1: ~59 km, connecting Hung Vuong Stadium to Noi Bai Airport via Hanoi Station. - Line 2: ~60 km, connecting Noi Bai Airport to Hung Vuong Stadium. - Line 8: ~64 km, passing through Hoa Lac, Mai Dich, and Linh Nam. - Line 10: ~38.7 km, connecting Vo Chi Cong to Co Loa/Dong Anh. - Line 14: ~31.8 km, connecting Thang Long Bridge to Ocean Park/Gia Lam.
This initiative represents one of the largest urban infrastructure investment programs in the country, aimed at reorganizing the capital's development space.
