Hanoi sets 2026 deadline for land clearance of Sóc Sơn industrial zone

On 31 July, Nguyen Trọng Đông, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, inspected the Sóc Sơn clean industrial zone infrastructure project and its access road.

He ordered that all land acquisition be completed by 31 December 2026, demanding that Kim Anh commune clear about 100 hectares of farmland within two months and finish the remaining area thereafter. He also required the access road to be built by the first quarter of 2027.

The project covers roughly 302.8 ha, with total investment over VND 3.226 trillion, of which land‑clearance costs exceed VND 2.38 trillion. The investor is DDK Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company, and the project proceeds under Prime Minister Decision 539/QD‑TTg (3 April 2021).
