Hanoi street vendor works to support family and grandson's medical costs

Đới Thị Hòa, a 68-year-old woman from Thanh Hoa, has moved to Hanoi to support her family through street vending. Living in a small rented room with two others, she spends her days walking through residential areas, cafes, and markets to sell small goods.

Despite the physical toll of walking long distances in various weather conditions, she continues her work to assist her son and help cover the medical expenses for her one-year-old grandson, who is undergoing cancer treatment. She expressed a desire to remain self-sufficient and contribute to her family's needs rather than becoming a burden.
