Hanoi Student Nguyễn Doãn Hoàng Sơn Wins Olympia Quiz Crown

The 26th edition of Vietnam’s "Đường lên đỉnh Olympia" quiz competition concluded in early January with four male contestants from across the country: Nguyễn Đức Kiên of Than Uyên High School (Lai Châu), Nguyễn Doãn Hoàng Sơn of the Specialized High School for Teachers (Hanoi), Lê Hà Hoàng Đăng of Hùng Vương High School (Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyễn Hoàng Nguyên of Y Đôn High School (Gia Lai).

After a balanced start in the "Khởi động" round, the contest intensified in the obstacle‑course segment where Hoàng Sơn correctly answered the clue “Vũ khí” and Hoàng Đăng earned points with “Năng lượng hạt nhân.” The "Tăng tốc" round saw Đức Kiên briefly lead with 160 points, but Hoàng Sơn’s strong performance in the final "Về đích" round, including two correct answers, propelled him to 195 points. He secured the championship crown, overtaking his rivals who finished with lower scores.

The victory highlights the academic talent of Hanoi’s student and concludes the season’s final competition.
