Hanoi students begin city-wide gifted student competition

Nearly 5,600 students from 205 high schools across Hanoi began participating in the city's gifted student competition and national team selection exam for the 2026-2027 academic year on September 14.

The examination is divided into two categories. Table A is for students from non-specialized high schools or non-specialized classes, aimed at determining city-level honors. Table B serves a dual purpose: determining city-level honors and selecting candidates for Hanoi's national competition teams.

Testing locations include various specialized schools such as Viet Duc High School, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, and Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. To ensure fairness and transparency, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has implemented a cross-coordination system for staff, utilizing 988 officials and teachers across 271 official testing rooms.
