Hanoi targets 2026 for real estate certification and BT project completion

Hanoi authorities have announced several administrative and infrastructure objectives for 2026. The Hanoi Department of Construction plans to conduct examinations for real estate brokerage certificates in the fourth quarter of 2026. Eligible candidates include Vietnamese citizens, overseas Vietnamese, and qualified foreigners who meet specific educational and legal requirements.

Simultaneously, the Hanoi People's Committee has directed departments and local agencies to resolve outstanding issues regarding Build-Transfer (BT) projects. The city aims to complete these projects and fulfill contractual payment obligations by 2026. Efforts will focus on clearing site obstacles, finalizing settlements, and addressing land allocation for counter-payments, particularly for the 21 BT projects initiated before recent changes in investment laws.
