Hanoi to host Thang Long Festival from September 11–20, 2026

The second Thang Long – Hanoi Festival is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 20, 2026. Under the theme ‘Heritage Flow,’ the event aims to connect historical values with contemporary art, creativity, and modern life.

During a press conference held on August 20, Le Thi Anh Mai, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated that the festival seeks to promote the city's cultural heritage and foster the development of local creative industries. The event is part of Hanoi's efforts to strengthen its identity as a UNESCO Creative City.

The 2026 edition will feature expanded and diversified event spaces, including iconic locations such as the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Temple of Literature, the Hanoi Museum, Bat Trang ceramic village, and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The program will combine traditional cultural expressions with contemporary artistic proposals to create an immersive experience for the public.
