Hanoi University of Civil Engineering launches low-carbon concrete competition

The Hanoi University of Civil Engineering has launched the “Creative - Building Materials Students 2026” competition, focusing on the theme of “low-carbon emission concrete.” This year marks the 10th anniversary of the academic contest and coincides with the university's upcoming 60th anniversary and 70th anniversary of training programs.

Fifty-two student teams are participating in the competition. The initiative aims to address practical challenges regarding resource efficiency and emission reduction in the construction industry. Participants are tasked with researching, designing, and manufacturing concrete products that meet technical standards while minimizing carbon footprints.

Professor Nguyen Hoang Giang, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and head of the organizing committee, emphasized that the competition encourages students to integrate technical performance with environmental sustainability goals.
