Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking its journey from its founding in 1956 as Vietnam’s first technical university to its current status as a leading institution. During the ceremony, the university was honored with the First-Class Labor Order.

General Secretary and President To Lam attended the event, emphasizing the goal of transforming HUST into an excellent research university. He noted that in an era of artificial intelligence and technological competition, the nation requires the intellect and creativity of HUST graduates to enhance productivity and autonomy.

To support this development, the university is implementing 42 projects between 2025 and 2026 with a total investment of approximately 520 billion VND. These upgrades include laboratories, lecture halls, and the Tạ Quang Bửu Library, which will house an interdisciplinary innovation space inspired by the Design Factory model.

University Director Professor Le Anh Tuan reflected on the institution's history, including the contributions of faculty and students who served during wartime, and the university's role in training high-quality human resources for the country's strategic technological sectors.
