Hans prepares Bavarian-style menu on Das perfekte Dinner

Hans, a 52-year-old technical employee living in Ochtersum, Ostfriesland, prepared a Bavarian-themed menu for the television program ‘Das perfekte Dinner’. Originally from Bavaria, Hans moved to the coast from Ingolstadt several years ago due to more affordable real estate.

His menu featured homemade Galloway salami, liverwurst, and pretzel rolls for the appetizer. The main course consisted of Galloway beef roulades filled with mustard, bacon, onions, and pickles, served with napkin dumplings, red cabbage, and cranberry sauce. For dessert, he prepared mini steamed dumplings with a sugar-cinnamon base, vanilla sauce, and cranberry ice cream.

As a hobbyist butcher, Hans slaughters his own cattle and pigs to provide meat for his meals. During the preparations for the show, he received news regarding the birth of new Galloway cattle.
