Hans Sigl launches interactive video podcast ‘Betreff: Leben’

Hans Sigl, best known for his long-running role in the ZDF series ‘Der Bergdoktor’, has launched a new interactive video podcast titled ‘Betreff: Leben - die Sprechstunde mit Hans Sigl’. The project, which began releasing weekly episodes on Wednesdays starting September 23, 2026, is designed to foster interaction with the audience.

Sigl described the format as a ‘reaction-podcast’ or service-oriented platform where viewers can submit stories and questions via email for discussion. The set is designed with a desk to evoke a late-night show atmosphere, distinguishing it from traditional podcast setups. The production takes place both remotely and at the ‘GROUNDLIFT’ venue at Ammersee.

The initial episodes feature guests including Katja Burkard, Jan van Weyde, Barbara Schöneberger, and Paul Panzer. Sigl expressed a desire to remain an ‘allrounder’ in the media landscape and use the platform to explore the ‘big questions’ found within everyday life stories.
