Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation awards 120 million KRW for humanities research

The Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation held its 5th Humanities Research Support Project award ceremony on May 27 in Seoul. This year, the program saw record interest with 341 research proposals submitted, an increase of 137 from the previous year.

Following a fair screening process, the foundation selected 10 research projects to receive funding. Each selected researcher will be provided with 12 million KRW, totaling 120 million KRW in research grants. The selected topics cover diverse areas including national violence, modern monologues, Korean dance history, urban resilience, and the history of the Huguenots.

Foundation Chairperson Baek Su-mi stated that the high volume of applications demonstrates significant interest in basic humanities research. She expressed intentions to continue supporting excellent research to achieve global academic results and to expand programs that share these findings with the public.
