Hanseatic Global Terminals celebrates 10 years in Iquique

Hanseatic Global Terminals Latin America Inland Services is celebrating a decade of operations at its extra-port warehouse in Iquique, Chile. Since beginning operations in 2016 with a focus on empty containers, the facility has evolved into a multipurpose warehouse serving over 200 domestic and foreign clients.

The terminal plays a critical role in the Tarapacá region's logistics, acting as a dry port that facilitates international transit, imports, and exports, particularly for trade with Bolivia. Managed cargo includes vehicles, machinery, fertilizers, bulk goods, and consumer products. Over its ten-year history, the facility has mobilized more than 50,000 containers.

In the past year, the company has invested approximately 980 million pesos to acquire two new container cranes and improve infrastructure, including internal roads and access points. These upgrades aim to expand operational capacity and support regional logistical growth.
