HanseWerk Natur expands heating network in Bad Segeberg
HanseWerk Natur, a subsidiary of the HanseWerk Group, is expanding the district heating network in Bad Segeberg. The expansion will increase the network from 7,300 meters to over 9,000 meters through two distinct construction phases.
The first phase focuses on connecting buildings from the Wankendorfer housing cooperative. Work involves installing underground connection lines on private properties, followed by laying pipes in public spaces such as Theodor-Storm-Straße, Liliencronweg, and Hebbelweg starting in October 2026. Heat supply for these residential buildings is expected to be operational by spring 2027.
The second phase, scheduled to begin in early 2027, aims to connect public buildings, including the Schule am Burgfeld and the Franz-Claudius-Schule with its two sports halls. This phase will involve work on Matthias-Claudius-Weg and parts of Falkenburger Straße, with a projected commissioning date of summer 2027.
