Hanshin Tigers lose 2-3 to DeNA at Koshien

The Hanshin Tigers lost 2-3 to the Yokohama DeNA BayStars at Koshien Stadium, leaving their championship magic number at 18. DeNA's Yu Takeda pitched well, allowing only one run over 5.1 innings, while Hanshin's Kotaro Otake took the loss after giving up three runs in two innings.

During the game, a critical baserunning decision by Hiu Motoyama in the fifth inning was highlighted. After a double by Chikamoto, Motoyama hesitated at third base due to difficult wind conditions, preventing Hanshin from scoring more immediately. Hanshin manager Kyuji Fujikawa commented on the play, stating he did not intend to blame the individual but hoped the moment would serve as a learning experience for the entire team to improve their aggressive play.
