Hanshin Tigers manager focuses on team unity amid losing streak

The Hanshin Tigers are facing challenges following a loss to Hiroshima and a recent rainout at Koshien Stadium. During a recent game, a controversial play occurred in the fifth inning when runner Toru Fushimi attempted to score on a long hit by Haruto Takahashi. Fushimi was ruled out after a close play at the plate. Analysts, including Yutaka Takagi, suggested that the decision to send the runner home was appropriate given the timing.

Following the rainout, which marked the team's 15th cancellation this season, manager Kyuji Fujikawa expressed concern regarding the team's psychological state. Currently on a three-game losing streak, Fujikawa emphasized the need to prevent players from falling into the “illusion of losing” due to the lack of game time. The team is focusing on strengthening unity ahead of an upcoming critical series against the Yomiuri Giants to maintain their position in the Central League.
