Hanshin Umeda Main Store to host World Watch Day event

Hanshin Umeda Main Store will host a special event to celebrate World Watch Day on October 10. The event focuses on the aesthetics of the '10:10' time setting and the historical connection between mechanical watches and astronomy.

As part of the celebration, Pim Koerslag, CEO of the astronomical watch maison Christiaan van der Klaauw, will appear at the venue on October 10. The event includes a panel exhibition exploring how mechanical watches evolved from timekeeping tools into works of art. Additionally, a special sale featuring brands such as Louis Moinet, Armin Strom, and Wempe will be held at the store's premium room on October 10 and 11.
