Hansi: Police and farmers clash during Independence Day protests

Tensions escalated in Hansi, Haryana, during Independence Day celebrations as protesters clashed with police. The confrontation occurred when farmers attempted to protest against a scheduled program by the Chief Minister.

Following attempts by police to prevent protesters from reaching the venue, a lathi charge was deployed to control the crowd. This led to an outbreak of stone pelting, resulting in injuries to several police officers, including the SP and DSP, as well as multiple farmers.

Additional security forces have been deployed to the area to maintain order and prevent further violence. Authorities are currently reviewing video footage to identify those involved in the stone pelting and are investigating the specific causes of the dispute.
