Hanwha Construction Boosts Safety with Equipment Manager Training

Hanwha Construction's division held a specialized safety program for about 30 on‑site equipment managers on Jan. 29, conducting theory and hands‑on sessions at the Eumseong Cultural Arts Center in North Chungcheong Province and at Donggeun T&N EL’s second plant. Participants studied lift types, safety devices, inspection standards and accident case studies, then practiced operating and checking lifts under supervision.

The training, part of a program launched in 2024, was overseen by Kim Yun‑hae, the company's safety‑environment management officer, who stressed that construction‑heavy‑equipment incidents account for over 30 % of serious site accidents. Hanwha Construction also highlighted its integrated high‑risk monitoring system (H‑HIMS) that links mobile CCTV with a central monitoring platform, underscoring its broader effort to strengthen on‑site safety management.
