Hanwha Construction unveils climate‑adapted ‘Next Flow’ playground design
Hanwha Construction’s building division announced the development of “Next Flow,” a new playground concept for its Hanwha Foreana residential complexes. The design blends water‑play features, shelter and shade to let children enjoy outdoor activities year‑round despite extreme heat, rain, snow or fine dust. A bridge spanning the play area incorporates a fountain and slide, creating a mini water‑park in summer, while serving as a shelter and community space in other seasons. Dense tree planting, large‑scale shading structures, trampolines, hammocks, tunnels and large pipes provide varied, three‑dimensional play experiences. The system is offered in four thematic modules that can be combined or applied individually according to site size and characteristics. Kim Min‑seok, head of the architecture business unit, said the concept aims to provide safe, comfortable play regardless of weather and to strengthen Hanwha Foreana’s brand competitiveness. The new design follows Hanwha’s series of landscape concepts such as Grand Flow, Foreana Vista and Foreana Journey.
