Hanwha Eagles appoint Ryu Ji-hyun as manager and Seok Jang-hyun as GM

The Hanwha Eagles are undergoing a significant leadership restructuring following the departure of manager Kim Kyung-moon and general manager Son Hyuk. The club has appointed Ryu Ji-hyun, a former star shortstop and national team manager, as its 15th manager.

In a notable shift in organizational strategy, Hanwha has appointed Seok Jang-hyun as the new general manager. Unlike previous trends where former players or coaches were appointed to the role, Seok is a career employee who joined the club in 2003, marking the first time a staff member has been promoted to general manager in the team's history.

Additionally, the club has decided not to renew the contracts of several coaches associated with the previous regime, including senior coach Yang Seung-kwan, Yang Sang-moon, Kim Min-ho, and Kim Jae-geol. The selection of a new coaching staff will be finalized once the managerial appointment process is complete.
