Hanwha Eagles suffer ninth straight loss to KT Wiz

The Hanwha Eagles suffered their ninth consecutive loss following a 11-13 defeat against the KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park. Despite an early offensive surge where Hanwha built a 7-3 lead, the team's pitching struggled to maintain the advantage.

Taiwanese pitcher Wang Yen-cheng, returning from a 16-day hiatus due to pneumonia, struggled significantly in his first start back. He pitched only 3.1 innings, allowing six earned runs on six hits, including two home runs hit by An Hyeon-min. His ERA rose from 3.52 to 3.86 following the performance.

Relief pitcher Bruce Zimmermann also faced difficulties after moving to the bullpen, failing to protect a tie during his appearance. Additionally, reliever Jung Woo-ju struggled in the eighth inning, contributing to further runs allowed by the Hanwha defense. The loss allows KT Wiz to reclaim first place in the league standings.
