Hanwha Group appoints 105 new executives to bolster defense and finance

Hanwha Group has announced a large-scale regular executive reshuffle, appointing 105 new executives across its major affiliates. The move, conducted earlier than last year, focuses on three key pillars: global expansion, performance-based meritocracy, and young leadership.

The defense sector, led by Senior Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan, saw significant reinforcement with 16 new executives at Hanwha Aerospace and 5 at Hanwha Systems to support global market expansion and technological competitiveness. Hanwha Ocean also appointed 15 executives to bolster manufacturing innovation and North American market presence.

The financial division, overseen by Vice Chairman Kim Dong-won, appointed 30 new executives, with a heavy concentration in Hanwha Life and Hanwha Asset Management to drive digital transformation and global growth.

In the tech and life solutions sector led by President Kim Dong-sun, the group focused on establishing an independent management system for the newly launched Hanwha M&S. Additionally, Hanwha Solutions and Hanwha Advanced Materials emphasized generational change, with six of their ten new executives born in the 1980s.
