Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-youn issued a commemorative speech marking the company's 74th anniversary, urging employees to face harsh global realities directly rather than relying on optimism. Highlighting the impact of geopolitical conflicts and rapid industrial shifts, Kim emphasized the need for a ‘challenge spirit’ to ensure the company's longevity for the next 100 to 200 years.

Kim specifically called for the securing of AI-based technological competitiveness across all business sectors, including finance, machinery, and services. He noted that defense-related AI capabilities are fundamental to the group's massive investments in aerospace, satellite technology, integrated air defense systems, and advanced engines.

To navigate complex international relations and competition, Kim advocated for ‘selection and focus,’ instructing leaders to set precise targets and concentrate resources effectively.
