Hanwha Group partners with Cinema by Brand for space solar power films

Hanwha Group has become the first brand partner for ‘Cinema by Brand’, a new film content development and production platform launched by Innocean and the Asia Contents & Film Market (ACFM). Announced at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, the platform aims to connect global creators with corporate values through cinematic narratives rather than traditional advertising.

The inaugural project focuses on Hanwha’s space solar power technology, using science fiction to explore themes of sustainability, human emotion, and the future of space. Three films were selected following a global competition: ‘Solar Poet’ by Edmund Yeo, ‘Moon Glow’ (Dalnoeul) by Hong Eui-jeong, and ‘The New Mission’ by Lee Jin-ho.

These productions are scheduled for filming in 2027, with plans to release them through theaters and OTT platforms like Netflix. Innocean CEO Jung-ah Kim stated that the initiative seeks to blur the lines between advertising and film, creating new business opportunities for both the marketing and entertainment industries.
