Hanyang Cyber University earns perfect score in data protection assessment
Hanyang Cyber University has achieved a perfect score of 100 in the 2026 University Personal Information Protection Level Diagnosis conducted by the Ministry of Education. This result earns the institution the highest grade of ‘Very Excellent’ (Grade A), marking its second consecutive year receiving the top distinction following a score of 99.5 last year.
The annual assessment evaluates how universities manage the personal information of students and faculty in compliance with relevant laws. The diagnosis covers three key areas: establishment and operation of management systems, implementation of protection measures, and establishment and operation of response measures for infringement incidents.
Hanyang Cyber University achieved perfect scores in both the ‘implementation of protection measures’ and ‘infringement incident response’ categories, significantly outperforming the average achievement rate of approximately 85% for private universities. The university attributed this success to its maintenance of Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification, continuous staff training, and participation in cyberattack response drills.
