Hapag-Lloyd Cruises hosts 20th anniversary of gourmet festival

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises celebrated the 20th anniversary of its gourmet festival, ‘Europas Beste’, held on the MS Europa in the Port of Hamburg. The event featured ten elite chefs holding a combined total of 23 Michelin stars.

Among the participants were Swiss chefs Tanja Grandits and Marcel Skibba. Skibba, a partner at Schloss Schauenstein, prepared smoked veal breast grilled on Japanese Konro ovens. Other notable culinary figures included three-star chef Kevin Fehling, who operates the ‘The Globe’ restaurant on board.

The anniversary celebration included live music and fine wines, with German moderator Günter Jauch in attendance representing his own winery. Following the festival, the luxury vessel departed for a four-day cruise toward Kiel, with scheduled stops in Denmark.
