Hapag-Lloyd Cruises introduces culinary-themed voyages on Europa 2

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is introducing new culinary-focused itineraries on its Europa 2 vessel, designed to connect passengers with the regional traditions and flavors of their destinations. The program features collaborations with various experts, including Kenyan chef Carol Mühlenbrock for routes from Tenerife to Cape Town, spice expert Dr. Manuela Mahn for Indian Ocean voyages, and Indonesian cuisine specialist Heinz von Holzen for trips through Southeast Asia to Western Australia.

The cruise line, which was named the best cruise fleet in the world by Insight Guides in 2025, operates a fleet of five ships including the Europa and Europa 2, as well as three expedition vessels: Hanseatic Nature, Hanseatic Spirit, and Hanseatic Inspiration. The company emphasizes an intimate travel experience, maintaining passenger limits of 500 on the Europa class and 230 on expedition ships, with a guest-to-crew ratio of nearly 1:1.
