Hapoel Tel Aviv signs American guard Yuzhin German

Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball announced the signing of 28‑year‑old American guard Yuzhin German for the 2026‑27 season. German, who averaged 17.4 points and 4.5 assists with the Indios de Mayagüez in Puerto Rico and posted 18.3 points and 4.8 assists in the Chinese league, signed a one‑year contract. He previously played for the Beijing Ducks, Qingdao DoubleStar, Fujian Xunxing and began his professional career with Ionia Nikaias in Greece before moving to Turkey’s Merkezefendi.

Coach Dimitris Itoudis praised the acquisition, saying German “has the scoring ability we need and can contribute in many areas of the game.” German expressed enthusiasm about joining the team and aiming for a championship. The move positions him to make his EuroLeague debut with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
