Hapoel Tel Aviv signs Max Heidegger to one-year contract
Hapoel Tel Aviv has signed American-Israeli guard Max Heidegger to a one-year contract through the end of the 2026/27 season. The 29-year-old joins the club following a stint with San Pablo Burgos, where he averaged 12.4 points per game.
With Heidegger’s arrival, the roster under coach Dimitris Itoudis has expanded to 21 players, including 12 guards. This total exceeds the 20-player limit permitted for EuroLeague registration. The roster depth includes notable players such as Tomas Satoransky, Zach LeDay, and Jacob Toppin. Due to the large squad size, there is speculation that the club may operate two distinct rosters: one for EuroLeague competition and another for domestic league play, potentially utilizing more local players like Heidegger for the latter.
