Happily Ever After explores adulthood uncertainty at TIFF

The drama Happily Ever After, directed by Feng-I Fiona Roan, explores the uncertainties of adulthood through the lives of two sisters. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film examines the tension between societal expectations and personal identity.

The story follows Kitty Lin, who appears to be following a traditional path toward a conventional happy ending through her career and engagement, and her older sister Claire, a successful writer who has taken a less traditional route. As the narrative progresses, the film dismantles the identities the sisters have constructed, highlighting the gap between the lives they imagined and the realities they inhabit.
