Happy Valley water pipe burst causes residential outages
A water pipe burst in Happy Valley on the night of Wednesday, August 12, causing emergency water outages for several residential buildings. An approximately 8-inch diameter pipe ruptured near Lok Fu Road, close to Jardine's Garden.
As a result, water supply was suspended starting at 10:00 PM for buildings located at 4-38 Lok Fu Road and blocks 2-43F of Lok King Terrace. The Water Supplies Department deployed personnel to shut off the water valves and conduct emergency excavations. To assist affected residents, temporary water tanks were placed at various locations, including Lok Fu Road No. 12, with water tankers stationed at locations such as Beverly Hills Platform Block A, Lok To Court, and Lok Fu Road No. 38.
Repair work is expected to be completed by 6:00 AM the following morning.
