Hapur food safety officials raid sweets and khoya units

The Food Safety Department conducted raids in Hapur following complaints received via the IGRS portal regarding potential food adulteration. On October 16, 2026, inspection teams visited Annapurna Sweets and Bakers in Pilkhuwa and a khoya manufacturing unit in the Alam Nagar area of Dhaulana.

During the inspection of Annapurna Sweets and Bakers, officials collected a sample of potato chips due to suspicions of palm oil adulteration. Legal action will proceed once the laboratory report is received. The department also instructed the establishment to strictly adhere to food safety standards, including the mandatory display of manufacturing and expiry dates on all sweets, and to maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Additionally, a sample was collected from Madan Mittal’s khoya manufacturing unit to test for purity. The department also addressed a complaint regarding Guddu Kirana Store, resolving the matter on-site. Officials stated that they will continue their campaign against food adulteration to protect public health.
