Harald Glööckler Returns to Pfalz Villa, Leaves Berlin
German fashion designer Harald Glööckler, 61, has moved back to his historic 1927 villa in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße, Rhineland‑Palatinate, after spending several years in Berlin. He says the capital’s noise, hustle and “dirty” environment are no longer suitable for a long, healthy life.
The relocation follows his recent separation from longtime partner Dieter Schroth and coincides with a renovation of the villa, now featuring bright rooms, an on‑site gallery and a focus on his artwork rather than opulent décor. Glööckler also highlights the role of his Papillon dog, Ikarus, in his new, quieter lifestyle.
He describes the move as a personal reinvention, seeking “more lightness, less heaviness” and a living space that supports his art exhibitions and auctions.
