Harald Gloy expected to become CEO of Lufthansa Technik
Harald Gloy is expected to become the new CEO of Lufthansa Technik in early 2027, succeeding Sören Stark. According to reports citing company circles, the supervisory board is scheduled to vote on the proposal this week.
Gloy has served as the Chief Operating Officer at the maintenance subsidiary since 2022, overseeing operations and logistics. He will take over from Stark, who is set to retire due to age in January 2027.
The leadership transition occurs as Lufthansa Technik navigates its ‘Ambition 2030’ growth strategy. The company aims to increase revenue from 5.6 billion euros in 2022 to over 10 billion euros by the end of the decade, while doubling adjusted EBIT to over one billion euros. However, recent global crises and customs costs have impacted margins, which fell from 9.3 percent in 2023 to 7.5 percent in 2025.
