Harare hosts BancABC Roots Impact Programme football tournament

The BancABC Roots Impact Programme Tournament has commenced in Harare, bringing together young football players from all ten provinces of Zimbabwe. Held at Prince Edward School and Allan Wilson School from August 23 to 30, the tournament features boys and girls competing in the Under-14 and Under-16 categories.

The event serves as a scouting platform for the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) technical structures, focusing on technical ability, decision-making, and athletic potential rather than just match results. This initiative aims to create continuity between grassroots football and national team structures following recent appointments of age-group national coaches.
